Ben and I just returned from a 12 day trip to Hawaii. It was amazing, it was relaxing and it was kid free (pictures to follow soon).
Now we are home.
And normal life has resumed again.
And guess what BIG task we are tackling this week?
Potty training!
Yep! Times two! And these girls really couldn't be any more excited about it. (They even have big girl undies in "their" colors- purple for Leah and pink for Lexi). We hadn't been in undies for more than an hour this morning and with two little bums, we've already been on the potty about 30 times (and I'm not exaggerating). And 90% of the time, something is produced when they sit on the potty.
And you better believe that when one needs to go...
the other is soon to follow. The book "When you give a mouse a cookie" kept running through my head this morning. "When you take one twin potty, chances are you're going to have to take her sister at the same time or right after!"
And of course, there are lots of treats being handed out! Chocolate covered raisins are getting the job done today. When Lexi heard that you get one treat for peeing and two treats for poop, she squeezed extra hard and produced a little nugget and got two chocolate covered raisins! Way to go Lexi! :)
Please wish us luck. We are going to need it this week!

good luck! i'm too chicken to let brooklin wear panties to train. my rule is, she has to have a couple of days with NO pottying in her diaper before she can wear diapers. buuut, i don't think it's actually helping her to become potty trained. lame! so i'm anxious to hear how your experience goes!
GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!!
they'll do great, they are so ready. plus, undies are so COOL. I bet a week from now, it will be good as gold.
p.s. you should probably get a chocolate treat every time they do, cuz your doing a good job too :)
Nice. I can't wait to hear all the details(ok, not all the details.) I am predicting that they will be a breeze to train. Just knowing their competitive sides and them supporting each other. Good luck. Hope you have some good stain remover!
Good Luck! :)
It will be soo nice to say goodbye to diapers x 2.
They'll do great!
Good luck! You're much braver than I - I've always used pull-ups as a transition.
Oh boy...Good luck! I've always said that potty training is the hardest thing a parent has to do. And I've never had to do two at once. I can't imagine. But your girls seem like they are off to a great start!
