We're making progress!

We had a ground breaking day yesterday!  Mitchell finally walked behind a toy!  This may not seem like a big deal to the rest of you, as most children are very excited to walk behind and push toys, but just last week, when I tried to get Mitchell to do this same activity, he would crumple to the ground and refuse to even try.  We have been working with him on walking ever since his last doctor's appointment and we have made a lot of progress.  He is much more interested in walking now, and here is the proof!  Hooray!  He may walk before nursery after all! :)

Don't you just want to spank him? You knew all along that he could do it but he just didn't want to. All that worry for nothing. And he wasn't just walking, he was really cruising. Maybe he practices late at night when everyone is asleep because that didn't look like a boy who has never walked before.....

Hooray for walking toys. William refused to walk alone for months (literally), but would walk behind a toy all the way to the park! You never can tell what kids will do. He is so cute, and looking more grown up all the time!

That video makes it look like he has been walking for a while. He just wanted to show you on his own terms. I think that is the family stubborn streak coming out. He just doesn't like being told what to do:)

What a guy! I talked to my PT friend and he said he's not even officially a late walker till 18 months. He said your doc is jumping the gun a little to want PT at 16 months. It wouldn't hurt but not necessary. Looks like Mitchell going to do it on his own anyway--with help from Mom and Dad. Send more video. I love to watch him!
