Preschool Pumpkin Patch

On October 15th, Leah and Lexi had their Preschool Pumpkin Patch Field Trip.  They had been looking forward to this day for weeks.

I was so glad that I was able to join them (Olivia tagged along too and was a champ in the front pack).  Chloe and Mitchell have both gone on this same field trip with this same preschool in previous years.  The twins tagged along with Mitchell's class 2 years ago, and were just a few weeks old on one of the years Chloe's class went- Ben accompanied Chloe's class that year (with two year old Mitch) while I stayed home with two newborns.

2013
The weather was perfect!  After lots of heavy rain the last part of September, we had some gorgeous sunny days the first part of October.

The kids started off on the cow train.  I love how each cow is named.  Ginger and Betsy had two cute riders!

Off they go!

Next up was playing in the corn.  This is the perfect activity for a group of 4 year olds.

Then it was Leah's turn!

Playing in the duck pond

The kids were each given animal food to put in a can and then each one got to pull the ropes to make the can go up where a real goat was waiting to eat the food out of the can.

We all got to go on a hay ride.  Lexi and her cute friend Brooklin

After the hay ride, we all got to walk through a corn maze that led to the pumpkin patch.  Each preschooler got to pick out one small pumpkin.

After picking up one, putting it back, finding another, putting it back and on and on, these two girls finally found the perfect pumpkin!

On our walk back to the main area, I snapped this gorgeous shot of the pumpkins, blue skies and gorgeous Mt. Rainier.  I saw a quote recently that said "October is my favorite color."  This shot, along with many other scenic views of the beautiful fall colors makes me think of that quote.  I love that saying.

What a fun morning I had tagging along with these sweet girls.  Making memories with family is what makes me happy.  (And ice cream).
